Global additive manufacturing experts set to take to the stage in Nottingham.
The annual Additive International summit has announced the full speaker line-up for its 2019 event.
Taking place in Nottingham on 10-11 July, 18 additive manufacturing experts from organisations including Astra Zeneca, Siemens Digital Factory, Marshall Space Flight Centre, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Imperial College London, will take to the stage for the 14th annual summit.
This year’s presentations will cover topics such as additive manufacturing of glass optics, 3D printing using computed axial lithography, vat photopolymerization, embedding sensors and functionality in AM, metallic hardware development for NASA, and motorsport.
“Additive International prides itself on providing a platform to share the latest research, developments and applications in additive manufacturing – as well as to address its challenges,” said summit chair, Prof Richard Hague. “This year’s conference is no exception. We look forward to welcoming new and established voices from across the AM community to share ideas, network and collaborate on ideas to help move technologies and processes forward, and to tackle some of the obstacles the industry faces.”

In addition to the main conference and exhibition, visitors are invited to attend a pre-conference summit focused on the latest UK science and industrial research fuelling the ‘Future of Additive Manufacturing’. Supported by EPSRC and Innovate UK, attendees can expect presentations from universities and organisations including Cranfield University, GKN Aerospace, Mapp EPSRC Future Manufacturing Hub, The MTC, The University of Nottingham, and TWI Ltd.
