Photoshop CC i.materialise print service option.
Adobe is pulling out all the stops to fully integrate 3D printing capabilities into it’s leading graphic design package, Photoshop CC. With updates in colour 3D printing and native 3D printing features, the latest addition now gives users more options for 3D printing their designs.
i.materialise is the newest recruit to Photoshop CC’s 3D printing service options. Users can now select the service in the “Print to” destination list when sending their design for print. This includes many of the materials offered by i.materialise’s including Brass, Silver, Ceramics, Multicolour and Prime Gray and useful functions such as automatic mesh repair to make the model solid and printable.
Users can also check the cost of their print using Photoshop CC’s “Estimate Price” feature, which provides an estimated price for each material option. Once finished, users can then export their file for uploading on the i.materialise website.
Earlier this month, Adobe announced some major improvements to Photoshop CC’s 3D design capabilities. A peer review option was added so that 3D PDF files can be reviewed and manipulated in Adobe Acrobat and more file format options were added. The ability to print from different vendors was also added to give those without a 3D printer more options for having their designs realised.
