Armstrong Acquires Ultracast's Assets
On April 15th, 2013, Armstrong Mold Corporation acquired the assets of Ultracast, of Enfield, CT, USA, a division of world-wide specialty manufacturing company, Sanders Industries.
Ultracast has been providing rapid prototyping and low-volume production aluminum castings for OEM’s in the medical, aviation, aerospace, electronic, military, and automotive industries since 1984.
Armstrong Mold Corporation is a family owned business that has blended old world values, craftsmanship, and technology for 40 years. The company has 150 employees, and a state-of-the-art 100,000 square ft. manufacturing facility. Its ability to utilise numerous casting/moulding processes for prototype/short run metal and plastic part production all under one roof, has earned it a reported reputation as an industry leader and innovator.
Ultracast and Armstrong Mold Corporation are both reportedly "extremely excited about this acquisition".
