ATOS Scanbox now available in three sizes
GOM has expanded its series of ATOS ScanBoxes – a fully assembled measurement cell – to include a new third model. The ScanBox is a turnkey solution and was developed by GOM for automated inspection and quality control in production environments.
The newest and largest model, the ATOS ScanBox 6130 can be used to automate 3D-digitising and inspection of parts up to 3 m in height and up to 2 tonnes in weight. For the measurement of particularly large parts, the cell is equipped with a light gate system that allows simple loading with cranes, forklifts or palette trucks. The other two models in the series are suitable respectively for parts of up to 80 cm or 2 m in diameter.
The ATOS ScanBox is a mobile optical 3D measurement machine. Unlike conventional, tactile coordinate measurement devices, the machine can easily be moved from site to site. The ATOS ScanBox can be set up in one day and integrated into production processes. All that is required is a power source. At the heart of the measurement cell is a high-performance, robot-guided ATOS Triple Scan 3D digitizer. This powerful technology achieves fast, non-contact, and full surface measurement of components. The measurement and inspection processes in the ATOS ScanBox are fully automated, meaning even regular production personnel can control the processes via the simplified user interface. The ATOS ScanBox complete system is a single-source solution and comes with all required hardware, software, safety devices, and documentation, as well as worldwide customer service.
The ATOS ScanBox is already the product of choice for many companies in the aerospace, automotive, and consumer goods industries. The list of companies using the system includes Daimler, VW, Rolls-Royce, Bosch, Honeywell, Samsung, ZF, and many more.
