Last week Central Scanning launched the latest product from non-contact measuring systems experts Steinbichler Optotechnik Gmbh the Comet L3D which utilises affordable and accurate Blue LED Technology. Over 50 attendees from the UK Engineering Industry were present at the product launch at their new facility in Bromsgrove.
Rolling demonstrations of Central Scanning's hardware and software were provided during the launch, including the Comet L3D (blue led fringe projection), Comet 5 (white light fringe projection), T-Scan 3 (laser) specially adapted for non co-operative surfaces, Aicon MoveInspect, Aicon DPA photogrammetry and Artec 3D (white light fringe projection) systems.
The Comet L3D proved to be very popular and over 10 on-site demonstrations have been booked by launch attendees as a direct result of this Open Day. Sales Manager, Eugene Richer commented: "Our product launch was a huge success. The Comet L3D was constantly surrounded by interested parties throughout the day. The feedback from our guests was that the speed of scanning, portability and quality of data were the key attraction factors.
