Creaform, the developer of portable 3D measurement solutions and engineering services, has announced the launch of the latest version of the VXelements 3D software platform.
Available to download from December 6th 2017, the VXelements 6.1 applications suite will include significant updates to the VXmodel and VXinspect modules.
VXinspect is a dimensional inspection software module comprised of advancement alignment capabilities and a new snapshot tool. Similar to previous releases of VXelements, the alignment tools have been upgraded. Now, users can seamlessly integrate geometric counterpart concepts as and when they require. A more intelligent platform, the software’s powerful algorithms build the right alignments when the situation requires it, meaning a new user of such technology would not have to worry about geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, for example.
VXmodel is a Scan-to-CAD software module boasts edit boundaries and cross sections and the ability to cut mesh by plane. Users will now be able to improve performance, enabling them to achieve cleaner boundaries and fit them into 2D entities, thanks to the new edit boundaries. Meanwhile, the improvements to the cross-section and cut mesh by plane functionality can enhance the user’s creation workflow. There are also improvements in the 3D viewer, which is said to make the software easier to use.
The VXelements software supports Creaform’s entire fleet of 3D scanning and measurement technologies, and with new updates the company believes will continue to provide users with efficient solutions for their needs.
“VXelements gives engineering professionals the most comprehensive and user-friendly toolset for reverse engineering, rapid prototyping and dimensional inspection,” said Daniel Brown, Product Management Director at Creaform. “With each new release, Creaform continues to evolve to meet our customers’ rising demands, reinforcing its position as leading metrology solutions provider of easy to use and powerful hardware and software solutions for reverse engineering and quality control applications.”
