3D printed sculture in Bronze PLA.
Chinese 3D printing filament manufacturer, eSUN has introduced a new member to its growing filament family, Bronze PLA.
The material has been created for artists and makers looking to produce sculptures with a metallic or antique effect. eSUN says the non-toxic filament produces no smell during the print process, is environmentally friendly and can easily be recycled.
The new PLA has been engineered to minimise shrinkage and prevent warping. It extrudes at a low processing temperature and provides good strength and elasticity.
eSUN advises that after a prolonged amount of use with this material, the user’s 3D printer nozzle will need to be cleaned. The team has developed a unique, transparent cleaning filament that works almost as a 3D printer placebo to help remove any material residue left behind after a print job.
With Chinese New Year just around the corner, eSun are showing what types of 3D prints this new material is capable of producing by printing a bronze art piece called “San Yang Kai Tai” to celebrate the year of the goat.
The material is available now.
