U.S. metrology equipment supplier, Exact Metrology has been appointed the greater Midwest dealer for EnvisionTEC 3D printers and materials.
Currently celebrating its 15th year in the industry, EnvisionTEC's machine line spans desktop machines for dental and jewellery applications, to large-format carbon fibre and thermoplastic units designed for industries such as aerospace and automotive. The company also produces a full line of materials, including more than 70 proprietary formulations for specific customer requirements.
With offices in Cincinnati, Ohio and Brookfield, Wisconsin, Exact Metrology offers a complete line of portable scanning and measurement technologies from Faro arms to 3D body scanners. Services include contract measurement for 2D and 3D laser scanning services, reverse engineering, non-contact inspection, metrology, 3D digitising and training, long-range scanning and CT scanning.

Dean Solberg, co-president of Exact, commented: “The addition of EnvisionTEC brings our line to a new level of technology. A natural extension of our services and equipment lines, especially in the areas of reverse engineering and product modelling, we were already using 3D printing in our own service departments, so it made perfect sense to extend our equipment lines into 3D printing and we were most impressed with the EnvisionTEC line and the company’s commitment to growth. Exact is proud to be a part of that process.”
EnvisionTEC recently expanded its flagship Prefactory 3D printer range with a new fourth generation machine launched at RAPID + TCT in Pittsburgh last week. The P4 range leverages a new LED light system which EnvisionTEC claims to be more powerful and efficient than other projector light systems currently on the market.
