LPE vacuum casting
Laser Prototypes Europe has announced the further expansion of Vacuum Casting facilities at its Belfast based premises, which it will be showcasing at TCT Show + Personalize at the NEC, Birmingham, this September 25th and 26th. Now with even greater capacity than ever before following the installation of its third Vacuum Casting machine LPE has increased its material providing customers more choice than ever before.
The new material range includes thermoplastics, variable shore rubbers, food safe casting resins and production grade silicones. Customers can from heat resistant materials suitable for living hinges, applications requiring part rigidity and components requiring high transparency, source high quality production grade silicone casting ideal for Automotive and Medical applications, or achieve exact Shore Hardness with variable Shore A resins.
“Our improved Vacuum Casting service will allow us to continue and improve our prototyping and low volume production work with many industries especially medical and automotive. We have just installed a third Vacuum Casting machine, giving us the capacity for low volume manufacturing of end use products such as bespoke keypads, gaskets, seals etc. in production grade silicone," a spokesperson commented.
