LPW signs agreement with Shaanxi 3D Technology.
LPW Technology, leading developer and supplier of metal powders for additive manufacturing, has announced an agreement with Shaanxi 3D Technology Co Ltd for the supply of AM materials in China.
Combining local expertise with LPW’s leading technologies, the two companies are powering the development of optimised metal powders for laser melting deposition, electron beam melting and selective laser melting technologies in the Chinese market.
“As the implementation of additive technologies in manufacturing continues to grow, manufacturers at all levels are looking for advantages in a highly competitive global environment,” LPW Commercial Director Mr. Phil Kilburn explained. “Additive is a crucial and evolving area of manufacturing in China and Shaanxi 3D Technology shares our commitment to delivering the most cutting-edge materials and solutions for leading industry suppliers.”
In response to the rapid rate of adoption for additive manufacturing technology in China, LPW is strengthening its position in the market by supplying its optimised materials to one of the country's leading industrial 3D print solutions providers.
Dr Tao Ren, General Manager of Shaanxi 3D Technology commented: “Additive Manufacturing will profoundly affect the future of the manufacturing industry in China. Those who adopt new technologies early have always been at an advantage. However, the technical possibilities for powder specification and methods of manufacture have evolved considerably. LPW are an experienced and reliable partner in this area to provide much needed strong improvements in quality materials that lower the risk to the implementation of these technologies.”
Visitors to TCT Asia next month will be able to see the results of this partnership when Shaanxi 3D Technology introduces LPW’s powder products to the Chinese market. The event takes place on 12-14 March at the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing.
