Mcor Arke - world's first full-colour desktop 3D printer now compatible with 3MF.
Leader in industrial full-colour 3D printing, Mcor Technologies, has today announced that its software, Mcor Orange, now supports 3MF, the new full-fidelity 3D printing format managed by the 3MF Consortium.
The 3MF format allows full-colour digital data to be exported to the Mcor ARKe, the Irish 3D printing company's new desktop machine. The technology will be on display during the Microsoft Build developer conference this week in San Francisco at the Moscone Center, alongside the latest tools and technologies designed to boost creativity amongst Microsoft’s developers.
3MF was launched last year as a information rich solution to existing 3D printing file format problems with the ability to carry details on manufacturing data such as texture, colour and materials all built-in. The 3MF Consortium, made up of key players including Microsoft, 3D Systems, Materialise, Stratasys, Autodesk, Dassault Solutions and many more, was formed to support a futureproof 3D printing file format that allows design applications to send full-fidelity 3D models to a mix of other applications, platforms, services and printers.
