Creators of high-quality, low cost CAD solutions, Nanosoft, has announced the release of the latest version of its CAD software, nanoCAD Plus 6.0.
nanoCAD is already used by over half a million designers around the world working with various manufacturing and infrastructure products. Compatible with DWG files originating as far back as 1990, it is optimized for production design and drafting and CAD application development and promotes the same industry standard technology as leading CAD, CAM AND CAE developers.
With updates continuing to be released for various CAD programs, compatibility can become an issue for professionals who do not want to move away from their current software. nanoCAD was designed to solve that problem by providing a smooth transition for CAD developers to transfer their work to new software at only a fraction of the cost.
Key features for nanoCAD 6.0 include a familiar interface for users of CAD applications such as the popular AutoCAD program. It also includes a rich set of tools for creating and editing 2D/3D objects, designed to industry standard. There are also advanced tools for pro users including features for advanced layer management, batch plotting, vector editing and network license management.
The latest version is also fully customisable and allows users to write macros using various scripting language supported by Microsoft Windows. More advanced users can create binary compatible applications using the MultiCAD API fir C++ and .NET, that will run in other compatible CAD systems.
One of the main goals form Nanosoft is to encourage users to move away from unlicensed software and upgrade to legitimate CAD packages by minimising the difficulty experienced with transferring data from one piece of software to another.
Nanosoft recognises that in order to do this, the development of low cost and even free software products is key. As one of the cheapest options on the market at $180 per year per user, perhaps CAD users will be convinced.
