As media interest in 3D printing and additive manufacturing picks up, the need for fresh written pieces on the technology becomes ever more pressing.
Therefore, it seems excellent timing for publishers Mary Ann Liebert, which is launching a new industry publication - the straightforwardly titled 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing.
The journal claims to be a "highly innovative, peer-reviewed journal" covering all aspects of the so-called "disruptive technology".
The publisher revealed that the preview edition will be launched in autumn of this year, with succeeding issues to be printed quarterly thereafter from 2014 onwards.
3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing's Editor-in-Chief is Hod Lipson PhD, the Director of Cornell University's Creative Machines Lab at the Sibley School of Mechanical Engineering in Ithaca, New York. The periodical will include unique content such as exclusive interviews with top professionals and innovators, commentaries, industry reports, opinion pieces and debates.
The publisher commented: "3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing will publish comprehensive and timely authoritative world-class material and will enable readers to become global participants in a unique multimedia platform."
