Landre to distribute Optomec LENS family of metal 3D printers.
Global supplier of production grade additive manufacturing systems for 3D printed metals and electronics, Optomec, has signed a distribution agreement with Landre to represent Optomec’s LENS family of 3D Metal Printers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
The Netherlands based sales and service company has a broad range of experience in machine tools and rapid prototyping and will add Optomec’s leading industrial 3D printing solutions to its machine portfolio.
Optomec’s LENS family of 3D metal printers are used to cost-effectively repair, rework and manufacture high-performance metal components in materials such as titanium, stainless steel, and super alloys.
Leveraging an established track record in supporting advanced manufacturing solutions in key industrial sectors, including automotive, aerospace, energy and defense, Landre will support the development of Optomec’s distribution channels in the Benelux territory.
“Since LENS printers are used throughout the product lifecycle for applications ranging from repair and rework to low-volume manufacturing, we see them as a strategic addition to our portfolio,” explained Jan Floor van Egmond, Director of Landre. “What’s especially exciting about the LENS process is that it can add metal onto an existing substrate of almost any three-dimensional shape, which makes it well-suited for repair operations and to use in conjunction with conventional manufacturing methods.”
Michael Kardos, Optomec Vice President of Worldwide Sales, added: “We are very happy to partner with Landre to bring LENS technology to the Benelux. Landre’s long-term expertise in the machine tool market and their more recent experience with 3D printing technologies make them an ideal partner in reaching a broad customer base in the region.”
