ProtoCAM
ProtoCAM have announced the expansion of its small metal prototypes rapid prototyping services. ProtoCAM now offers aluminium, steel and stainless steel prototypes created using selective laser sintering (SLS) and a variety of metal casting technologies.
These casting technologies include: Investment casting, plaster casting, sand casting and quickCast.
ProtoCAM can provide metal coated prototypes created from other rapid prototyping techniques such as stereolithography (SLA), urethane casting, and injection molding. Metal coated prototypes can be plated with nickel, copper, and chrome. Depending on the application, ProtoCAM can produce metal prototypes randing in size.
Ray Biery, ProtoCAM's Managing Partner said: ''ProtoCAM's expanded rapid prototyping service for small metal prototypes is a response to our customers' needs and requests.''
''It fits well with our rapid prototyping problem-solving approach. We assist customers in choosing the right tools and materials to get the small metal prototypes that meet their requirements.''
ProtoCAM's engineers and rapid prototyping experts work with customers regularly to help determine the best technology to achieve what customers are looking for. Typical applications for these small metal prototypes include: medical, consumer goods and industrial machinery.
