Quantel has seen major results since acquiring Stratasys' uPrint SE Plus 3D Printer
It seems like 3D printing pays for itself if Quantel is anything to go by. Earlier this year, the company purchased a Stratasys uPrint SE Plus 3D Printer and within just six months have already noticed a remarkable difference in their time and manufacturing costs.
Quantel is a global developer of high performance content creation and delivery systems for TV and film production and post-production. The company provides solutions for huge broadcasters such as the BBC, Fox and ESPN and movie studios all over the world.
David Throup, Group Leader within Quantel Research Department, explains: “We’d determined that we needed to improve turnaround in our prototype process and decided that a 3D printer would make the biggest single impact. Having reviewed the various options available, we selected the Stratasys uPrint SE Plus as it was able to meet the performance requirements we needed at the right price. It was the best fit for our needs.”

The Stratasys uPrint SE Plus 3D Printer, purchased from The Stanford Marsh Group’s 3D printing division SMG3D, enables users to print professional 3D models from their desktop. The results are durable, stable and functional prototypes created in just a few hours and in a cost effective manner.

Stanford Marsh’s 3D solutions will be on display at this year’s TCT Show. Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 30th September to 2nd October, the company will be exhibiting on stand F36.
