Renishaw to exhibit metal additive manufacturing expertise at TCT Show.
Renishaw is to return to the TCT Show floor once again for the 21st edition of the UK's leading additive manufacturing event and is inviting visitors to come and find out more about its end-to-end additive manufacturing and vacuum casting solutions.
Highlights on the stand include the RenAM 500M metal additive manufacturing system, designed and built in-house for the production of series parts, and Renishaw Additive Manufacturing Solutions Centres across the globe.
Also on the stand will be the Robot Bike Company’s R160 mountain bike frame. This highly customisable, carbon fibre mountain bike frame features titanium lugs that are manufactured using laser powder bed fusion technology on Renishaw’s metal additive manufacturing systems. Here Renishaw has provided its expertise in additive manufacturing, machining and metrology to help deliver a high quality bike frame from an initial design concept. Ed Haythornthwaite, CEO at Robot Bike Company will present on the TCT Show Conference main stage about how the company worked with Renishaw and other key advanced manufacturing partners to create the “world’s best mountain bike”.
“Renishaw’s heritage of engineering expertise perfectly complements our developments in the field of additive manufacturing,” explained Clive Martell, Head of Global Additive Manufacturing at Renishaw. “We work with an impressive range of companies from some of the most progressive industries in the world, including healthcare, dental, aerospace and automotive. The network of Renishaw Solutions Centres will strengthen our position as a partner for innovative manufacturing.”
Visitors can also see demonstrations of Renishaw’s new QuantAM additive manufacturing build preparation software and the company will display its expertise in vacuum casting to show the benefits this technology still has to offer to industry. The stand will feature a range of dental, medical and industrial components produced using additive manufacturing and vacuum casting, providing more real world examples of how Renishaw technology is being applied to produce end use parts and is integral to end-to-end manufacturing solutions.
TCT Show takes place on 28-29th September at NEC, Birmingham UK. Visitors can find out more about Renishaw’s additive manufacturing solutions on stands F18 and F20 in Hall 3A. Register for free to attend.
