Renishaw is set to exhibit its latest range of additive manufacturing machines and metrology systems at EuroMold 2014 later this month.
The leading engineering company will demonstrate recent developments in its laser melting machines capable of producing fully dense and complex parts from metal powders in titanium, cobalt chrome, aluminium, stainless steel and Inconel alloys.
Visitors will also get a look at the famous Empire Cycle’s bicycle, the world’s first 3D printed metal frame along with a range of samples from the dental industry and a set of wheel hub carriers produced at the University of Stuttgart.
“Renishaw considers additive manufacturing a viable solution for mainstream manufacturing environments,” said Rob Weston, marketing manager of Renishaw’s additive manufacturing products division. “So far, we’ve had the opportunity to apply our expertise in the dental, aerospace and automotive sectors, but we’re always looking for new challenges and applications for our additive manufacturing technologies.”
EuroMold 2014 will see Renishaw pop up at numerous stands throughout the show. FTAS GmbH will feature the company’s AM250 laser melting machine whilst Listemann Technology AG will partner with Renishaw’s LBC Engineering division to exhibit the design, simulation and manufacture of conformal cooling solutions for mould inserts by additive manufacturing,
