UK-based additive manufacturing leader, RPS has expanded distribution of its NEO800 production stereolithography system to Germany with the appointment of LSS Laser Sinter Service GmbH.
Based in Holzwickede near Dortmund, LSS supplies both plastic metal laser sintering equipment and materials. Now the company has been named by RPS as its first distributor into the German 3D printing market.
“We already have a good partnership with RPS on the service side of our business and with DSM Somos in stereolithography materials, so adding the NEO800 stereolithography hardware to our portfolio of 3D printing products makes good business sense,” Guido Elbrecht, founder and managing director of LSS, commented. “We have an excellent understanding of the additive manufacturing market and technologies in central Europe and operate within many key industry sectors including automotive, high end engineering and product design, which gives us a distinct advantage in introducing the NEO800 to this market.”
The NEO800 was launched at TCT Show in September last year. The open material system offers a print area of 800 x 800 x 600 mm to deliver what RPS says is best in class, exceptional part sidewall quality, with a scanning resolution to within 1 micron, reducing finishing time by up to 50%.
“Appointing LSS as our first distributor is a very positive step and we are ramping up production of the NEO800 units in line with market share expectations," RPS Director David Storey added. “We see this as a strong distribution partnership. Like RPS, the company has been operating in the 3D printing market for over 10 years and has in depth market knowledge and customer relationships already in place so we are very positive about where this will lead.”
Both companies will be jointly exhibiting at formnext powered by tct in Frankfurt on 14-17th November in Hall 3.1, stand E31.
