It is clear from Sigma Labs' latest piece of pr that a deal was struck at the Frankfurt event with a fellow exhibitor, one who would at this point prefer to remain anonymous. The company's proprietary PrintRite3D inspection products are undergoing an evaluation period in the unnamed metal-based 3D printer in order to determine its benefits for non-destructive quality inspection systems for metal-based additive manufacturing.

Several companies at formnext showcased the power of AM as a current manufacturing process across several verticals like aerospace, automotive and medical. Inspection, for these sectors is key and the ability to leverage Sigma Labs' experience in this field would be of a huge advantage to any machine manufacturer wishing to sell into a sector where certification is of the utmost importance.
