SLM Solutions launch new application and demo centre for additive manufacturing.
Germany based SLM Solutions Group, a leading provider of metal-based 3D printing, has unveiled a new application and demonstration centre in Lübeck.
The opening ceremony, attended by Lübeck Mayor Bernd Saxe and over 200 guests from over 30 countries, took place yesterday at the new additive manufacturing site in Lübeck which was completed in just a few short months.
The new application and demonstration centre will be used to conduct product training for customers and provide technical presentations and demonstrations. Furthermore, it will host the production of component parts and act as a test centre for new applications and technologies which the company plans to introduce to the market.
"Our new Demonstration Centre for SLM technology is another milestone in the rapid development of our company," Dr. Mark Rechlin, CEO of SLM Solutions Group commented. "We are now in a position to continue to meet the ever increasing demands of our customers to be and to meet the strong demand for specific sample parts faster."
Covering an area of 500m² SLM Solutions has made an investment worth about 5 million euros and will carry SLM Solutions wide range of machinery from the small SLM 125HL system to its flagship SLM 500HL.
The demand for SLM Solutions industrial systems is growing rapidly for use in the automotive, medical and aerospace technology sectors worldwide.
