Dr. Markus Rechlin
To cope with the rapid growth in the market for its metals additive manufacturing technology, SLM Solutions recently increased the shop floor level for production by 600sqm. In addition, space for application and test facilities, as well as material testing laboratories, have been allocated to support the growth. This has resulted in a total of more than 1000 sqm increase in production facilities at the headquarters location in Lübeck, Northern Germany.
To establish direct presence in the growing geographical markets, SLM Solutions North America has been established earlier this year in Novi, Michigan in the USA.
Dr. Markus Rechlin and Uwe Bögershausen will join the management board of SLM Solutions with immediate effect. Dr. Rechlin joins the team as the CEO and Uwe Bögershausen as CFO.
Former CEO Hans J. Ihde will take the new role as Executive Chairman. Henner Schöneborn, Director and Executive Vice President will continue as Sales Director and EVP in the management team. Ihde explained: “We are happy that with Dr. Rechlin and Mr. Bögershausen we could win two very experienced managers for our team which will give us high potential for growth in the coming years.”
Dr. Rechlin added: “SLM is an exciting and successful company. I look forward to take up together with the SLM team opportunities in this exciting market segment in the near future.”
With the enlarged management team SLM Solutions is well prepared for further and faster growth, according to the company.
