Solidscape, leading manufacturer of high precision 3D wax printers for the jewellery industry has struck a major partnership with Kangshuo Group Co. Ltd to create the largest jewellery 3D printing service bureau in China.
Kangshuo group will install several hundred Solidscape machines, designed specifically for the needs of custom jewellers, across four new 3D printing service facilities that will support the region’s fast growing custom jewellery industry.
The first facility is set to open in Shenzhen next month followed by Guangzhou in October. Plans for facilities in Beijing and Shanghai are scheduled to go ahead in 2016.
Kangshuo President Bin Liu, explained: “We are excited about creating the largest 3D printing service bureau in China and want to offer our customers the best possible products for the jewellery sector. The clear choice was Solidscape.”
Solidscape, a subsidiary of 3D printing giant Stratasys, offers the most accurate and detailed models for the jewellery market. Kangshuo will exclusively use Solidscape’s range of 3Z series printers due to their high precision and ability to produce complex, organic geometries that are 100% castable in any metal.

During the signing ceremony at Solidscape’s NH headquarters, President Fabio Esposito, commented: “Kangshuo Group’s strong business reputation and commitment to the jewellery segment in China is ideal to support Solidscape’s continuous expansion. Having a customer-centric partner that can deliver top quality sales and service to the jewellery industry in China was our strategic goal. In addition to bolstering the local NH economy and future job creation, we’re thrilled to be an American company exporting our products to China.”
Solidscape says the plans will not only support China’s growing jewellery market but also provide comprehensive 3D printing education. The plan echoes China’s rapid expansion into the additive manufacturing market which has quickly seen the region labelled as a major player for the industry. Joining companies like Stratasys who have already made huge strides on the region’s manufacturing landscape, industry stalwarts like Materialise and Renishaw are backing the region as one of the most promising areas for 3D technology.
