
XYZprinting has announced the release of its first 3D printer open to third party filaments, the da Vinci Professional.
The new machine has been designed for a business environment to offer an open and user-friendly experience to designers, engineers, architects, and other professional users. The da Vinci Professional supports ABS and PLA filament from all sources, allowing users to print in materials. In addition, the da Vinci Professional features flexible printing preference settings in which users can adjust the printing temperature and speed for optimised print quality.
“With the ability to use all of the world’s new, diverse 3D printing materials, the da Vinci Professional will unlock countless possibilities to replicate a wide variety of objects,” Simon Shen, CEO of XYZprinting, commented.
The machine features an auto-refill resin system that detects and automatically maintains the printer’s resin tank at the proper level and wireless connectivity with both iOS and Android support. The da Vinci Professional has a build volume of 200 x 200 x 200 mm and provides and provides a print resolution down to 0.1mm.
The XYZprinting brand its cost-effective consumer-oriented 3D printing and provides an extensive 3D printing product ecosystem, including everything from the easy-to-use $349 da Vinci Junior to the professional level stereolithography printer, the Nobel 1.0.
Price details have yet to be revealed but with XYZprinting’s reputation for low-cost 3D printing solutions, it is likely this machine will follow the same trend and land on the market at a similar price point.
The new printer will be showcased in the 3D Printing Zone at Maker Faire in New York on September 26th and 27th at booth number PV10.
