da Vinci 1.0
The da Vinci 1.0 3D printer from XYZprinting.
3D printer manufacturer XYZprinting has unveiled its 2014 line of desktop 3D printers.
The latest hardware to come from this relative newcomer to the consumer 3D printing scene includes the da Vinci 2.0 Duo and the da Vinci 2.1 Duo Plus, joining the da Vinci 1.0 3D printer in XYZprinting's competitively priced and easy to use offering.
The machines are priced between $499 and $849 and are on display at Inside 3D Printing in New York. They are ready to use and come equipped with innovative safety features including a one-year limited warranty.
XYZprinting's da Vinci 3D printers are compatible with ABS plastic and are set to be compatible with PLA by the fourth quarter of 2014. And the machines are easy to buy, with the da Vinci 1.0 - which went on display at International CES in January 2014 - currently available to buy in the US via Amazon. The 1.0 will also be available through Studica and Microcenter in the coming months.
The next gen da Vinci 2.0 Duo and da Vinci 2.1 Duo Plus are both dual-colour machines and will become available in quarters two and three respectively at $649 for the 2.0 Duo and $849 for the 2.1 Duo Plus. The latter machine is the most advanced of the three and includes Wi-Fi connectivity, remote access via a mobile app and a built-in camera. The 2.1 Duo Plus also features an easy-to-use touch panel for an interactive 3D printing experience.
