German additive manufacturing (AM) service provider Additive Willmann has adopted amsight's quality management software to support its serial AM production capabilities.
Additive Willmann expects the software to strengthen traceability and reduce manual effort, while increasing customer confidence in AM technology and AM services.
The company supports customers from initial idea through to finished, high-quality components, and serves markets where precision, traceability, and repeatable quality are considered essential. To this end, Additive Willmann has concluded that quality evidence can 'no longer live across disconnected files, manual records, and individual process knowledge.'
With amsight, Additive Willmann will integrate a 'digital quality backbone' that has been designed specifically for AM production. The software will connect powder, process, post-processing, machine, and inspection data at part level, and support 'seamless documentation' across the production chain.
“amsight stood out because it is not just software,” said Jörg Willmann, Founder and CEO of Additive Willmann. “We found a partner with deep understanding of quality management in additive manufacturing, both technically and personally. That matters. For us, this is about building a stronger quality foundation for industrial AM, not simply adding another digital tool.
“Traceability is one of the biggest benefits. With amsight, we can document the full route from powder to delivery in a much more structured way. That gives our customers more security and trust, and it supports the move from individual projects toward more serial production.
“In AM, quality is not only proven at final inspection. It is built through the process. amsight helps us keep that process aligned, documented, and easier to optimise. That reduces effort for our team and gives customers clearer evidence of how their components were produced.”
