ATLIX appoints Christopher Schmitz to lead APAC efforts

ATLIX has announced the appointment of Christopher Schmitz to drive growth across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The company says the appointment represents a 'new step in its international growth strategy.'

While Europe and the Americas remain the core pillars of ATLIX's growth strategy, the company sees significant potential in APAC, one of the fastest-growing markets for metal additive manufacturing worldwide.

To capture this opportunity, ATLIX is building a dedicated sales team focused specifically on the region. Schmitz, who is based in Japan, is said to bring extensive experience in the additive manufacturing industry, most recently through his work at EOS's Additive Minds technical consulting unit. Here, he supported customers in translating additive manufacturing opportunities into scalable, serial-grade applications, driving 'significant growth in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors.'

"Europe and the Americas continue to be the foundation of our growth, but we see clear momentum building in Asia-Pacific," said Matthias Himmelsbach, CEO of ATLIX. "Investing in a dedicated APAC team is a deliberate step toward our ambition to be a truly global player in metal additive manufacturing, and Christopher's experience makes him the right person to lead this expansion."

"Across APAC, the conversation in additive manufacturing has fundamentally shifted from testing feasibility to scaling production,” added Schmitz. "Having led commercial expansion across the region for the past five years, I've seen firsthand the demand for reliable, industrial-grade execution. The team at ATLIX brings exceptional technical depth and manufacturing maturity to this market, and I'm excited to join them in driving our next phase of regional growth."

Earlier this week, ATLIX appointed Charlie Grace as its President and Chief Revenue Officer, and announced that its machine portfolio has been rebranded.
