Gulf Coast 3D Metrology uses the latest up to date inspection software for all of your inspection requirements. GOM Inspect pro is provided by Zeiss AG. Zeiss is a well established German manufacturer of optical hardware and software and has been in the metrology field for decades. As expected, GOM Inspect Pro is one of the most advanced inspection suites of software available on the market today.

3D PROFILE DEVIATION STUDIES

Upon Comparison of the the worn wall bracket to the CAD model, the GOM software was able to precisely identify the point with the minimum material condition. These types of studies are extremely use full when prototyping new components or trying to identify wear in tooling.

FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTIONS - PPAP

Occasionally getting production parts approved by a customer can require innovative solutions. As seen above, there were multiple critical dimensions for the web slot parting line called out from a theoretical tangent point in space. The radii were too small to probe with a CMM, and the same was true for any type of vision system to be able to run a good capability study. Since the radii were so short, that point in space drifted too far from part to part for the customer to meet capability requirements. The solution to this was to provide the customer with a 3D scan showing deviation of the produced part in reference to the CAD model for product approval.
