Norsk Titanium has announced that its Plattsburgh, New York facility has earned accreditation from the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) for additive manufacturing.
Nadcap is the industry’s benchmark for special-process accreditation and allows OEMs and their Tier 1 suppliers to fast-track supplier audits, shortening the runway to production for structural titanium parts built on Norsk Titanium’s Rapid Plasma Deposition technology.
Aerospace OEMs and defence prime contractors rely on Nadcap to pre-validate process control, repeatability, and traceability - the same audit they would otherwise have to perform to clear a new supplier for production. With Nadcap in hand, Norsk Titanium will be able to compress that pre-production audit cycle and move customer programs from contract to delivery faster.

Nadcap accreditation takes weeks — sometimes months — out of that path.”
This Nadcap accreditation applies to additive manufacturing at Norsk Titanium’s Plattsburgh, New York facility. Along with its additional ITAR-compliant facility in Plattsburgh, New York, the accreditation broadens the qualification base from which Norsk Titanium is pursuing programs in defence, aerospace, and space.
