Norsk Titanium secures recurring production contract with Northrop Grumman

Norsk Titanium has entered into a recurring production contract with Northrop Grumman for aircraft components.

This agreement represents the first production award following an extensive multi-year qualification and specification process.

Norsk believes that the contract validates its additive manufacturing technology's readiness for serial aerospace production.

The contract establishes Norsk Titanium as a trusted supplier for critical structural components and paves the way for future opportunities across multiple platforms and applications.

“This milestone reflects the strength of our longstanding collaboration with Northrop Grumman and the proven performance of our technology in demanding aerospace environments,” said Fabrizio Ponte, CEO of Norsk Titanium. “We see this as the beginning of a broader production footprint across additional programs and parts.”

With this award, Norsk Titanium continues to expand its role in delivering scalable, cost-efficient, and high-performance additive manufacturing solutions to the aerospace and defence industry.

Earlier this year, Norsk announced that it had signed a collaborative agreement with Airbus that would see the aviation manufacturer install a Norsk Titanium Merke IV RPD machine at its production facility in Varel, Germany. Together, the two companies are working on a joint technical evaluation of the RPD manufacturing processes, controls, and validation data to support the transition from part-specific qualification to broader process-based methodologies for specific titanium products.
