TCT speaks to Matt Garbarino from Cincinnati Inc. a 117 year old machine tool company, about large-format manufacturing with Big Area Additive Manufacturing (BAAM) technology and how they worked with a team of 3D technology leaders to produce a replica of the Orion space module for the RAPID 2016 show floor.
BAAM enables the production of large-scale plastic products up to 8 x 20 x 6 ft. in a matter of hours. It was famously used by Local Motors, Cincinnati Inc.'s first customer, to produce parts for the world's first 3D printed car, the Strati, the and at RAPID this week we've seen examples including a kayak and scaled down F22 Raptor.
TCT has been on site at RAPID this week and will be bringing you the latest news, updates and video interviews direct from the show floor. Follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our YouTube channel to get the latest.
