DEFCAD on Alex Jones

Cody Wilson on Alex Jones
When two renowned polemicists meet in a broadcasting studio you expect sparks to fly and debate to rage, take this great piece of television as Piers Morgan and Alex Jones scream in each other’s face for five minutes. Unfortunately if you get two polemicists on the same side in a television studio you simply get a lot of backslapping.
One of the United States’ most infamous conspiracy theorists, Alex Jones, of Inforwars.com had Defense Distributed’s Cody Wilson on his popular radio/webcast show yesterday. The two went to town on gun legislation and how DEFCAD is going to overthrow the system. Jones revels in Wilson’s youth and comes up with corkers like “to some you’re the most dangerous man in the world”.
Obviously there’s a debate to be had over gun legislation and it’s difficult to ignore the advances DEFCAD have made, but what debate is to be had with somebody who is so clearly on your side? Somebody who did pretty much the same interview just two months prior? The interview contains a lot of gun fetishism “We’ve got 12 acres of land to go shooting in” Jones entices Wilson with.
One interesting topic that comes up during the interview is the discussion of Defense Distributed’s license to manufacture guns, which was granted in this past week.
“Now we have a license we can do what we originally planned to do; develop something like a single shot printable plastic gun. Yes it’s undetectable but it’s also unobservable by constitutions, governments, soverign reigns. You can download it from the Internet and print it from the comfort and privacy of your own home. This might be a politically important object.”
If it’s anything like the failed mess of an iPhone case that we printed yesterday we’d worry more about those printing it, than those they want to use it against.
