German additive manufacturing leader, Concept Laser continues to report financial success and growth year on year, and with 15 years experience in the industry it is one of the biggest providers of industrial metal 3D printing solutions today.
At TCT Show, the company was on the front row showcasing its metal AM systems and previewing its Factory of Tomorrow vision which will take the leap from concept to commercialisation after formnext powered by tct, next month. Casten Edelmann, Regional Sales Manager at Concept Laser, spoke to TCT on the show floor about how the company is increasing capabilities through this new vision as the industry moves away from prototyping towards series production. Teased at formnext last year, Concept Laser is proposing a fully automated architecture which will increase production time and reduce the labour needed to operate.
“We’re going very fast in the direction of mass production applications," Karsten commented. "We will present a new vision since we have a lot of companies that are working with 30, 40 machines and more, this is more serial production, no longer a prototype application. So we will come up with a new architecture which will be fully automatically driven to reduce costs for each unit and ramp up capabilities in a small footprint.”
