Dutch 3D printing outfit, Leapfrog showed off its latest 3D printing wares at TCT Show in Birmingham including the new Leapfrog Bolt dual-extrusion 3d printer which allows users to print two parts simultaneously, and the Leapfrog XceL, a large-format 3D printer which can print parts up to 2.3 metres high.
Frank Valkenburg at Leapfrog spoke to TCT about how the company were approached by a company called, Tech Sleeves, manufacturer of large bridge and plate sleeves for the flexographic printing industry, to deliver a large-format 3D printing solution for these typically hand-made products. Frank explains how Leapfrog 3D printing saved the company 50% in waste materials and 60% in man hours along with a substantial weight reduction.
