Renishaw to showcase TransFIORmers Moto2 bike at TCT Show
Engineering solutions company Renishaw is set to showcase its metal additive manufacturing prowess at TCT Show 2017 by inviting visitors to discover more about its end-to-end manufacturing solutions for a range of industries.
Highlights on the stand will include Renishaw’s flagship RenAM 500M metal additive manufacturing system. Designed for serialised production go metal parts, the RenAM 500M uses laser powder bed fusion technology to deliver increased automation and reduced operation during the manufacturing process. Highlighting Renishaw’s end-to-end additive manufacturing solutions, visitors will also be able to request demos of the the latest version of its QuantAM additive manufacturing build preparation software used to help engineers achieve the optimum printing parameters depending on material and part geometry.
Demonstrating how additive is being used in the automotive industry, the Renishaw sponsored, race winning TransFIORmers Moto2 bike will be showcased with its unconventional front suspension system, incorporating a metal 3D printed wishbone. Exhibits of solutions for heat exchange, optimum fluid flow and healthcare will also be featured.
Plus there will be examples of how additive manufacturing is impacting the cycling world. The Robot Bike Co. R160 customisable mountain bike frame, which featured in last year’s TCT conference programme, was brought to life with Renishaw additively manufactured lugs built in titanium. The bike will be displayed off-stand together with the world’s first metal 3D printed bike frame manufactured by Renishaw for Empire Cycles.
In addition, the Renishaw team will be on the booth to provide visitors with information about its growing network of its Additive Manufacturing Solutions Centres which gives customers the opportunity to evaluate the benefits of AM before making an investment.
