Every year at TCT Show, Stratasys is one of the first names you see as you enter the exhibition hall. Returning for 2016, the additive manufacturing leader brought its latest machines to the show floor for the first time including the full-colour, multi-material J750 3D printer, launched earlier this year, along with a range of real-life customer examples and applications that show how AM is being used to change how things are made.
Simon Brandon, UK Marketing Manager for Stratasys, tells TCT how AM is being applied in the manufacturing process through jigs and fixtures to take time and cost out of production including how French customer, Schneider Electronics is pushing 3D printing on the production floor.
Simon also talks about Stratasys recently unveiled Infinite-Build and Robotic Composite 3D Demonstrators and how they’re expanding the boundaries of what’s possible with AM to produce bigger parts and composite structures, quickly.
“I think Stratasys has taken a look at that Factory of the Future concept and said “What’s it going to be?" We could say we’ll have a row of our Fortus machines printing and we’ll concentrate on making them faster, developing new materials - we’re doing that anyway. What we’ve looked at recently is really pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with 3D printing.”
