McLaren-Honda Formula 1 race car to be exhibited at TCT Show.
With just nine weeks until the doors open for TCT Show 2017, news of additive manufacturing product launches and UK debuts is coming in thick and fast. The latest is from Stratasys as the industry leader gears up for a TCT Show exclusive which will see the 2017 McLaren-Honda Formula 1 race car showcased the show floor.
Highlighting Stratasys' ongoing partnership with McLaren Formula 1 Racing, the exhibit will demonstrate how the team is using Stratasys FDM and PolyJet technology across a range of applications to improve car performance, including prototyping, tooling and final part production.
Visitors will be able to learn more about the collaboration on the Main Stage as part of the free TCT conference programme where Simon Roberts, Operations Director, McLaren Racing, will explain how McLaren Honda’s partnership with Stratasys enables the team to take F1 innovation to a new level. The keynote talk titled ‘3D Printing in F1; Accelerating Design and Manufacturing Cycles for Improved Performance’ will take place on Tuesday 26th September at 11:00am.
Presenting more than its automotive capabilities, the Stratasys stand will provide visitors with a cross-section of high-profile customer applications, demonstrating how companies small and large are innovating their design and manufacturing processes with AM.
Fortus 450mc 3D printer.
On the stand will be a range of Stratasys’ technologies including the Fortus 450mc running live demonstrating the power of FDM for production alongside a selection of real-engineering materials, including the newly launched Nylon12 CF carbon-filled material.
Plus visitors will be able to see the world’s only full-colour, multi-material 3D printer when the Stratasys J750 returns to the booth following its UK debut last year. Sitting between prototyping and final part production, the J750 gives users the ability to print full colour parts in multiple materials all in a single print, eliminating multiple steps in the product development processes and enabling product designers to make significant time-savings during prototyping.
