Tech Stage sessions will be moderated by leading UK organisations and universities.
The line-up for the TCT Show 2019 Tech Stage is now live. Taking place on 24-26th September, the three-day programme will host free CPD-certified sessions and workshops on topics such as jewellery, powder metallurgy, metrology, and plastics manufacturing.
Sessions will be moderated by leading UK institutions including Birmingham City University, European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), University of Nottingham and British Plastics Federation (BPF).
Sessions include "A PechaKucha Session on Jewellery in a Maximum of 20 Slides" hosted by Birmingham City University, which will invite industry insiders and practitioners to talk about their use of digital technologies in the design and manufacture of jewellery products or services in short 10 minute presentations followed by an in-depth Q&A.
Speakers for University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield, the Manufacturing Technology Centre and the National Physical Laboratory, will come together in a "State-of-the-art in Metrology for Additive Manufacturing" session to address some of the advances and open challenges in AM metrology, both post- and in-process, in an open forum.
Tech Stage sessions are free to all TCT Show attendees.
EPMA will host four presentations on "Powder Metal Technologies and Techniques for Additive Manufacturing Applications" from equipment suppliers and raw material producers designing metal powders for AM.
In a half-day session, BPF will explore the benefits of using 3D printing as a complementary technology for the plastics industry. Speakers will deliver insights into new machinery and materials, end user case studies and examples of successful integration of AM into modern plastics manufacturing.
Plus, after two successful years co-moderating events in the UK and U.S., we are pleased to be hosting a third #3DTalk @ TCT Show panel session in partnership with Women in 3D Printing and Cyant. The event series brings together female leaders in the 3D printing industry to share their insights and experience on prominent topics ranging from materials to smart factories and everything in between. This year's talk will focus on software for additive manufacturing including the latest advancements, challenges and what's next. The panel will be followed by an official Women in 3D Printing meet-up and networking session.
A seat at the TCT Tech Stage is free and ensures attendees leave this industry-defining event with even more knowledge than they came with. See the full line-up and register here for free.
