Fed up of the traditional sunglass designs and shapes? Fancy customising some to your exact style? Maybe you have a purple t-shirt and some Purple ABS and you fancy matching the two up?
Either way if you’re idea is one that you think the world would love you could win yourself a 3D Systems Cube 3D printer.
Cubify is kicking off its Summer Sunglass Design Challenge running throughout July and August 2013. The idea is to create the boldest sunglasses that it is possible to 3D print, the contest will be judged by a panel of Cubify Artists and the winner will receive their very own Cube 3D Printer so they can print as many of their designs as they so wish.
To complement the competition Cubify has launched Party Sunglasses App, a neat little browser-based experience that allows you to customise some templates with your name and then pay $9.99 to download the resulting STL. Cubify will also accept entries from the app as well as through the usual channels.
