TCT + Personalize paid a visit to 3D Hubs HQ in Amsterdam last week (watch out for the article coming soon), however the team are actually a lot closer to TCT Towers this week for one of their fantastic community events.
Tomorrow, live from Google Campus in London, 3D Hubs will be hosting a '3D Printing in Architecture & Design' event complete with talks from the latest and greatest from one of 3D Printing's most burgeoning sectors.
The line-up, which aims to inspire other designers and architects to use 3D printing in their work, includes; Mostafa El Sayed of Zaha Hadid Architects –famed for their collaborations with innovators like Inition, visual artist Marcin Ignac of Variable.io Design Studio and Assa Ashuach, who will be discussing objects, DNA, real time 3D physics and the notion of ‘openness within boundaries’.
3D Hubs’ Head of Community, Filemon Schoffer told Personalize, “For us and our community, these events are meant to showcase the inspirational possibilities of 3D printing. Our platform has two sides of the same story; the first side of the story is the person who owns the 3D printer wanting to share this capacity and his/her experience with the rest of the world, the second side is the person looking for ways to use 3D printing for their own products or work. Finding new ways to create and innovate. This event is meant in bringing those two sides of the same coin together, inspiring anyone who is interested in adopting the technology into their workflows or design process."
The line-up is considerable, the talks from such prestigious icons in the industry should prove to be truly inspirational, and the attendance will be plentiful as the 3D Hubs' community have responded with their usual gusto to the free event.
"Physically bringing people together in one place, is still the best way for building a strong and loyal community base," said Filemon. "This creates trust at both sides of the story, which is of vital importance for our platform and new technologies such as 3D printing."
Definitely one to check out, not least just to see Google Campus
