Charging Bull
Rose Brooke looks at 3D printing in the financial markets.
It wasn't until I started working in financial journalism that I realised the world of trading and money talk is not in fact a huge Boy's Club.
The City might be suited and booted, but in reality financial journalism is something that should be of interest to everybody in every industry and from every background.
Welcome to my first blog post in a series that will (for the most part) concentrate on the waves 3D printing is making both in terms of the markets and the wider economy. I'm neither a Boy's Club member, nor do I own a suit. I'm just a journalist from the East Midlands who has landed herself a fantastic job researching and writing about a cutting-edge technology.
3D printing companies are interesting characters in the markets at the moment and with all the media hype and headline-making mergers and acquisitions that have stormed the press in recent months, it is clear to see why the industry has become the darling of the tech investor set.
So here I am, just dipping my toes in this enthralling industry with my financial journalism hat on and I'm looking forward to using my nouse and compiling a weekly roundup of the best projections and the biggest stories without getting sidetracked by analyst fluff.
