Feetz Veteran's Day special offer
November 11th is not only a day for soldiers past and present to be honoured, but it is also a day for military veterans to be gifted a new pair of 3D-printed shoes.
Or at least it is for those in San Francisco.
Feetz, a 3D printing footwear brand based in the Californian city, are giving away 100 free pairs of shoes to the first 100 US military vets that enter their pop-up store in Union Square.
The innovative footwear manufacturers are offering the shoes as a small gesture for their service to the United States.
“As a company that proudly makes its sustainable footwear product in the USA, we would like to celebrate the US veterans who so proudly serve our country,” said Lucy Beard, the founder of Feetz. “Our veterans are one of a kind citizens and they deserve a special gift that’s made just for them. We proudly thank them for their service.”

Like all their products, the free shoes will be custom-designed ensuring they are the perfect fit for the customer. Styles for both men and women are available, and each veteran can choose from a variety of colours and looks offered. The Union Square pop-up store will be open to the public until November 13th, but the Veterans special offer will only last until closing time tonight.
Feetz was founded by mathematician and entrepreneur, Lucy Beard in 2013. Beard, tired of searching for the right fit for her feet, as well as the right look for her style, decided to establish a footwear company that put the power into the customer’s hands.
After a two-year journey, where the technology was built to make custom fit shoes for every person a reality. With the help of experts all over the world, from New York fashion designers to Italian shoe cobblers, Feetz eventually found its footing in the shoemaking market. Feetz built new technology from 3D printers to make shoes in a matter of hours, designed software to custom fit their shoe designs to the feet they would live on and also used efficient materials.
“Feetz is not about shoes,” added Beard. “It’s about celebrating how we make things. Veteran’s Day is also a time for us to celebrate our military heroes.”
