3D Systems On Demand has partnered with ZVerse Inc to enhance the design capabilities of its manufacturing services.
Users of 3D Systems On Demand will now benefit from ZVerse’s CAD as a Service (CADaaS) platform and have access to its network of certified designers who will quote orders, make any necessary modifications to designs and then optimise file formats. The 3D Systems On Demand team will then manufacture the parts and ship them to customers.
While using CADaaS, customers will receive process-specific design guidance and have pre-production quality checks carried out by ZVerse designers, who are on-hand to cater for both low- and high-volume projects. ZVerse recently formed an identical collaboration with Shapeways, and like its New York-based peer, 3D Systems On Demand believes the alliance with ZVerse will deliver an enhanced service and increased efficiency to its user base.
“The customer is at the centre of everything we do,” commented Thomas Donahue, Vice President of Global Sales at 3D Systems On Demand. “The combination of ZVerse’s expertise and 3D Systems’ design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) processes will allow us to provide advanced design capabilities to our customers. This partnership enables a seamless customer experience, helping them achieve the final part they ned, as efficiently as possible.”
“We’re excited to grow our relationship with 3D Systems as they leverage our CAD as a Service platform to improve customer experiences,” added John Carrington, ZVerse founder and CEO. “The desired and proven outcome is providing the fastest path from idea to finished product at the scale required for on-demand manufacturing customers, particularly those who may not have 3D printable files or ready access to a design team to create them.”
