Avi Reichental announces developments at EuroMold 2013.
After a rather guarded announcement last week regarding its plans for EuroMold 2014, keeping everything very much under wraps, 3D Systems has officially announced the arrival of 3DPRINTING 2.0.
Frankfurt is set to be the place to witness the next generation of 3D printers, advanced material options and additions to 3D Systems leading design-to-manufacturing digital thread.
Developments in the company’s signature Direct Metal Printing, Stereolithography and Selective Laser Sintering processes along with material advancements and new software and scanning suite will all be revealed at Frankfurt Exhibition Centre from 25th-28th November.
3D Systems will preview the ProX 400, the latest addition to its PtoXTM DMP line with the largest build size of any metal 3D printer for developing high quality, fully dense metal parts for industrial applications.
Building on 3D Systems leading stereolithography technology is the ProX 800, providing greater production efficiency, revolutionary print head and material management systems ideal for rapid manufacture in the automotive, aerospace and healthcare industries.
Also previewing is the ProX 500 Plus, expanding on the original ProX 500’s SLS material set with a huge new range of materials including glass-filled, aluminium-filled and nylon in addition to faster print speeds and resolution setting.
Five new materials for the ProJet 1200 Micro SLA 3D printer will be shown including FTX Cast, FTX Gold, FTX Silver, FTX Gray and FTX Clear to improve capabilities for dental labs, jewellers, engineers and 3D artists.
Flexible materials and advanced composites for MultiJet printing will be revealed to demonstrate increased versatility for functional prototypes and end use parts. New flexible elastomers in black and translucent when mixed with white and clear ABS like plastic materials will enable the ProJet 5500X to create up to 14 unique materials in a single print.
On the scanning side, The Capture Mini has been designed for scanning and inspecting small, precise parts such as jewellery and dental models and blends in with the Geomagic software workflow. 3D Systems 3DMe Photobooth scanning and 3D printing experience will also be on show.
Collaborative 3D workflows will also be improved with a new cloud and desktop based app that manages 3D Systems' design to digital thread.

That’s a lot of new developments for one show and reaffirms 3D Systems' leading position in 3D printing market. Visitors can get a first look at 3D Printing 2.0 at Booths D69 and F90 in hall 11.
