Additive Industries, a 3D printing product manufacturer, has announced the expansion of its team of global sales with the appointment of Bart Leferink, a seasoned 3D printing executive.
The expansion and integration of Leferink comes as the company aims to accelerate the sales of its industrial metal additive manufacturing systems equipment, including the MetalFAB1 platform, around the world. Additive Industries also recently opened its California Process & Application Development Center in North America, which is also an important component of the company’s growth strategy.
Leferink, who boasts over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, will be tasked with gaining global coverage through channel partners, initially in Europe and North America, and then Asia as we enter 2018. His appointment seeks to attract and support leading agents in industrial capital investment goods. Prior to his new role, Leferink was Channel Director at Prodways where he focused on industrial and professional 3D printing. He also has sufficient experience in setting up new business channels, which Additive Industries felt would stand him in good stead for his new position.
“I’ve spent most of my career driving the go-to-market of high quality systems and solutions in professional markets,” Leferink said. “I am very excited to join the fast-growing team of Additive Industries and contribute to expansion of the global installed base of its MetalFAB1 industrial additive manufacturing systems.”
With the assistance of Leferink, Additive Industries will build a network of agents to accelerate the adoption and integration of the company’s metal additive manufacturing systems. They will target ‘demanding’ industries, such as aerospace, automotive and healthcare.
Additive Industries MetalFAB1
MetalFAB1
The MetalFAB1, unveiled at last year's formnext powered by TCT, uses powder bed fusion with multiple lasers, and integrates heat treatment, automated build plate handling, and storage into its large frame.
Additive Industries will return to formnext powered by TCT later this month, suggesting a 'record number of announcements' which will include the world premiere of the brand new Product Removal Module. This will offer the next step in AM, allowing the removal of products from the build plate automatically, before it is resurfaced and re-used in the MetalFAB1.
Additive Industries will showcase its 3D printing products in Hall 3.0, Booth F40 between Tuesday November 14th and Friday November 17th.
