Additive Industries has announced two new distribution partners for the Australia & New Zealand and Israel markets.
The company has confirmed precision manufacturing company Benson Machines will sell the company’s metal additive manufacturing technology into Australia and New Zealand, while aerospace and high-tech industry supplier CMI Electronics Trading will handle sales in Israel. Additive Industries says the new partnerships take the company even closer to achieving complete global coverage.
Making moves into the Asia Pacific region, Benson Machines will support Additive Industries as it develops its strategy and targets players in the aerospace, automotive, medical and general machine building industries. Benson Machines supplies and services a host of machines in these sectors, from milling machines to surface grinding machines to desktop 3D printing platforms. While the company’s heritage is in delivering traditional means of manufacture to customers, it also played a significant role in the set-up of Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Ltd.’s (AMTIL) Additive Manufacturing Hub, which operates as a first port of call for new adopters of 3D printing technology.
Benson has decades’ of experience in dealing with manufacturers and will now work alongside Additive Industries to develop its presence in Australia and New Zealand.
“Based on the experience and market knowledge in precision manufacturing we have gained over more than 110 years and our active involvement in the development of the Additive Manufacturing Hub in AMTIL, we are well positioned to introduce Additive Industries and the MetalFab1 system,” commented Paul Philips, Managing Director of Benson Machines. “We are looking forward to working with Additive industries and developing commercial strategy with regards to metal 3D production solutions.”
Meanwhile, in Israel, an identical partnership has been struck with CMI Electronics Trading, who represents such companies as Sciaky, and works with firms in the aerospace sector.
“We are perfectly positioned to represent Additive industries in Israel, based on our longstanding industry supplier relationships for machinery, materials and parts as well as our specific experience over recent years in selling metal additive manufacturing solutions and services,” said Moshe Cohen, President of CMI Electronics Trading.
“With the help of CMI, we will gain access to important potential customers in key segments such as aerospace and high tech for our industrial metal additive manufacturing systems,” added Daan Kersten, co-founder and CEO of Additive Industries.
