The EVO AMC, launched at CES 2018.
Airwolf 3D, a Californian 3D printing manufacturer, has launched its new EVO Additive Manufacturing Center (AMC) platform at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.
The company believes it is delivering to market the most innovative machine in the desktop 3D printing market.
After four products under the Axiom brand, the EVO AMC marks Airwolf 3D’s fifth generation 3D printing system. Its name derives from its apparent superior technology, design, and construction to rival desktop machines on the market: a company press release details how EVO is not ‘merely an industrial 3D printer, but a fully-fledged Additive Manufacturing Center.’
The EVO AMC boasts many of the features of prior Airwolf machines, such as auto-levelling, large build size, high temperature multi-material printing, and compatibility with water-soluble Hydrofill support material. But it also delivers on what the company believes is one of the more frustrating aspects of 3D printing. PartSave is a feature that enables the printer carry on with the print it is working on after a power outage or the machine being unplugged. Once power is restored, manufacturing resumes. Another feature Airwolf is particularly proud of is FailSafe. This comes into action when a jam occurs or the user runs out of filament. By placing the print head at the height it was at prior to the interruption, FailSafe will get the printer back to work and finish the job.
“The EVO is completely new and it’s unlike anything out there,” commented Airwolf 3D Co-Founder and CEO, Erik Wolf. “We took the technology that we perfected with our prosumer line of 3D printer and leveraged it to develop a machine that’s light years beyond anything else on the market. The EVO is faster, stronger, and more accurate than any other desktop 3D printer – it delivers a premium 3D manufacturing experience at less than half the cost of machines that offer equivalent performance. Plus, it’s packed with new technology that dramatically changes the way we manufacture, including the ability to work in metals. The EVO far surpasses the capabilities of a traditional desktop 3D printer. It’s a true desktop Additive Manufacturing Center.”
Airwolf 3D is debuting the EVO AMC at Booth #8908 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, CES 2018. Prices at $6,6995, shipping is expected to commence in February.
