Artec Turntable
Artec Turntable.
Artec 3D has introduced the automated Turntable rotating platform which has been developed to make the scanning of small objects easier.
The Artec Turntable is integrated with the Artec Studio data processing software and can be teamed with the handheld Artec Space Spider, which captures 7.5 frames per second at 0.05mm 3D point accuracy.
Turntable is powered by Bluetooth and boasts auto-tracking features. If tracking is lost during the scan process, the Turntable will pause, and reverse rotate back to the point where tracking ceased. The paired scanner will then automatically regain tracking, the Turntable will begin to rotate again, and the data capture process can resume.
Prior to the availability of Turntable, the user wold have to retrace the scanning path manually. But Artec has now intervened to provide users with an automated product to take that task away. Users now will just have to lift the scanner lower or higher during the scan process while the object is rotated on the Turntable.
Artec believes it makes its scanning products even easier to use, the scanner, rotation platform and software working together to not only ensure accurate data capture, but with less hassle too.
