Flourishing online 3D model trading and sharing platform for professional designers CGTrader has announced exciting news - its partnership with major industry marketplace and community Sculpteo.
In a blog posted this month, CGTrader revealed that this new joining of forces will help the manufacturing revolution extend its reach to a wider audience.
Now, web users can search for a 3D printing-ready model on CGTrader.com and print it just as easily by clicking the "Sculpteo" button, which will see the design is 3D printed and sent to the customer.
The buyer therefore gets the chance to use 3D printing technology quickly and easily, they can avoid the mass production process and they can do it all at the touch of a button.
"Just pick a model, hit a button, print it and get it via mail in just a few days," CGTrader stated.
In turn, the seller gets the chance to have their designs transformed into 3D models and can reach a wider clientele, as their designs will be seen on the Sculpteo site as well at CGTrader.com - potentially attracting a vast range of visitors.
"[Sellers get] a chance to overturn the manufacturing, change the world, and stand in the first row with the leaders when the 3D printing will reach its a breakthrough," CGTrader said. "The revolution will not be televised, it is going to be 3D printed. So bring it here - we are ready!"
