Creaform
A global leader in portable 3D measurement solutions and 3D engineering services is making this technology more accessible to educators.
Creaform has announced the release of two teaching manuals compiled with teaching at universities, technical schools and colleges in mind. These resources cover theoretical and practical information on 3D measuring technologies and their uses in quality control and reverse engineering - which are crucial for advanced engineering and designing both now and in the years to come.
Included in these teaching packs are lab guides on how to use Creaform 3D technologies and the manuals are currently available online.
The manuals cover the topics of Reverse Engineering and applications for Quality Control. These teaching resources have been compiled to assist educators in explaining the latest 3D measurement technology and the varied range of applications as simply as possible.
In addition, Creaform has offers that are specific to educators, making it easier for more people to access 3D measurement technologies. These offers include adapted maintenance packages, in addition to cost-effective plans for multiple systems that may be suitable for equipping labs and classrooms.
Product Manager in charge of Education François Leclerc commented: "These initiatives are yet other concrete examples of how Creaform is committed to training the engineers, industrial designers, and QA specialists of tomorrow. In today’s hypercompetitive market, the complexity of product parts combined with customers requiring better product quality and faster turnaround times has generated an increased need for 3D scanning technologies and PCMM to be used in manufacturing processes.
"Professors, educators and educational institutions need to remain at the forefront of advances in 3D scanning so as to better tailor their curricula for the innovators of tomorrow. Creaform provides the tools they need to bring their courses up to speed and the technologically advanced training level students have come to expect."
